SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -A local anti-Flock Safety group hosted a community meeting Sunday at the Schweitzer Brentwood Library in Springfield.
The group, called Flock Out SGF, held a community-driven discussion about the City of Springfield’s adoption and use of Flock Safety’s license-plate readers. The main concern is how the cameras will be constantly recording video, license plates, and people’s faces before uploading them to a private database.
“Really, what we’re trying to get out in the open is that these aren’t just scanning license plates. These are using AI to analyze your vehicle,” said Isaac Protiva with Flock Out SGF. “It can track you based on your bumper stickers or a crack in your bumper. It’s called the ‘AI fingerprint’ around the vehicle.”…
