WEBSTER COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) – An Arizona man has died after a 4-vehicle crash on I-44 near Strafford on Tuesday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on westbound I-44, 2.5 miles east of Strafford, at around 7:45 a.m.
Troopers said a semi headed westbound, driven by a 55-year-old man from Avondale, Arizona, made an unsafe lane change, hitting an SUV. The SUV then hit the rear of a pickup truck’s towed unit.
The semi then travelled across the cable barriers into the eastbound lanes of I-44 and then hit another semi’s towed unit. The second semi then travelled off the roadway and overturned. The semi driven by the Arizona man then caught fire, the crash report states…
