SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A man who pleaded guilty to assaulting two Greene County deputies and a driver during a road rage incident in 2023 was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Tuesday.
Matthew Romesburg, 35, pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree assault, resisting arrest for a felony and unlawful use of a weapon. He received 18 years for the assault charges and four years for the other charges, but the sentences run concurrently.

Romesburg was arrested on Dec. 30, 2023, after getting into an accident on westbound I-44 near Glenstone Avenue that night. He reportedly assaulted the driver of the other car in the accident, then assaulted two Greene County deputies who arrived at the scene.
