SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -A Springfield man has been sentenced for the deadly shooting of a 19-year-old man in 2023.
Court documents state Nikolai Janes, of Springfield, was sentenced to five years in prison on April 6 after pleading guilty to first-degree involuntary manslaughter.
On July 1, 2023, Springfield police officers were sent to the 200 block of W. Madison Street in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, they found 19-year-old Keontae Tureaud with a gunshot wound to the head. He later died from his injuries…
