NIXA, Mo. — The Nixa Police Department says Butterfield Drive between Pinhook Drive and Pinewood Lane is closed because of a gas leak caused by a lightning strike at approximately 1 a.m. Friday morning.
According to a social media post, Nixa police say they are helping the Nixa Fire Protection District and Spire Gas at the scene and they have evacuated the affected homes.
Spire Gas is currently looking for the source of the leak. Nixa police say it is unknown when the area will reopen…
