SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Greene County officials want residents who had storm damage to report it to their local emergency management agency to make sure it is counted.
The Greene County Office of Emergency Management said its assessment team has received over 3,500 damage reports from the public. Almost all are cars, and approximately 1,300 of those include home damage. The office has completed over 500 initial assessments on homes for an initial report to the State Emergency Management Agency and FEMA.
The county has put together a form for residents to fill out. It will help in the efforts to request a federal disaster declaration. The office stressed that filling out the information does not guarantee financial assistance. If help becomes available, there will be a public announcement…
