SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A man associated with a local street gang was sentenced for illegally possessing a machine gun.
Trey Alexander Giles, 21, was sentenced by a U.S. District judge to five years in federal prison without parole, followed by three years of supervised release.
On Oct. 3, 2025, Giles pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a Glock pistol with a machine gun conversion device (MCD) attached, which is designed to turn a firearm into a fully automatic weapon.
