Alabamians, Protect Your Information: Mexican Men Arrested After Running a Fake ID Operation AL

Fake ID Takedown

According to CBS News, three men from Mexico were operating a fake ID scheme in Cook Cty., IL targeting migrants willing to shoplift in exchange for a fake ID.

Suntimes reported that Facundo Donato Meneses-Garcia, 51, Francisco Javier Otero-Rosas, 42, and Keneth Jareth Ulloa-Rodriguez, 19, were taken into custody by Cook Cty. authorities for the illegal operation. During a search of their home, investigators located 500 fake IDs, $7500 in cash, and methamphetamine.

CBS News reported that investigators noticed a trend in retail thefts in River North and decided to pay closer attention. Those caught shoplifting advised investigators they were only shoplifting to get a fake ID for work purposes.
