(Alabama)– On Jan. 31, 2024, an Alabama man was taken into custody after he ran over a man and then pulled a gun on the victim.
The official news release stated:
According to witnesses, a 2016 GMC Sierra driven by Larry Franklin Palmer, 73, was seen slowly circling the parking lot for some time. The vehicle aggressively accelerated and swerved at the 68- year-old victim. After striking the victim and knocking him to the ground, Palmer exited the truck, brandishing a revolver. The victim retreated into the store for safety.
Before authorities arrived, Palmer fled the scene.
Around 7:30 PM, authorities received a call from the local hospital after staff members located a gun on a patient. When officers arrived and began to investigate things, they discovered that Palmer and the victim were involved in a legal dispute in Tennessee.
Alabama’s WAFF reported the victim was released with non-life-threatening injuries, and Palmer was arrested for attempted murder and tampering with a witness.
