(Alabama)– While driving through the state of Alabama, there are multiple radio stations anyone can listen to from different genres of music.

On Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, a radio station manager noticed that thieves had taken the tower, transmitter, and processors, according to the Yellowhammer News. Now, authorities and YHN Network affiliate WJLX need assistance from anyone with information on the stolen 200-foot AM radio tower.

The general manager, Brett Elmore, informed Yellowhammer News that replacing the tower would be pretty costly to the business.

He (Elmore) says it’s Federal Crime to steal a radio tower and remains hopeful they find out who was responsible. The station is working to get temporary authority from the FCC, to continue broadcasting on their FM translator, while they rebuild their AM operations.
