A flood watch will be in effect until 6 PM Monday. We could pick up 1-3″+ of rain, so we will have to watch for flooding issues through Monday afternoon. Storms producing heavy rain, thunder, lightning, gusty winds, and small hail will continue through 7 am. A lull in the heavy rain activity appears likely in mid-morning, with additional scattered storms and downpours likely this afternoon. The severe weather threat over Central Alabama appears low, with flash flooding being the primary threat. However, a few storms today will be capable of gusty winds and small hail.
