The Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs kicked off National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month by announcing their 2024 Campaign for. Operation We Remember is a Veterans suicide prevention awareness visual campaign that partners with universities, community colleges, high schools, and government agencies across the state to honor and remember the Alabama Veterans who have lost their lives to suicide. The campaign includes a display of 147 American flags to honor and remember the 147 Veterans in Alabama who died by suicide in 2022.
