MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – Alabama Firefighters capture dramatic footage of a smoke-nado swirling across Alabama. On Sunday, Sept. 1, a significant wildfire broke out in the Nitrate City area, requiring a coordinated response from multiple local fire departments. According to a Facebook post, units from Nitrate City, Brick Hatton, and Leighton were dispatched to the scene around 1:45 PM. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a cornfield engulfed in flames, covering approximately one acre.
