“Sexual predators exist not only in corporate America, Hollywood, and in the rap and rock and roll industries but also in the world of country music,” said attorneys representing “Jane Roe,” a former hairstylist and makeup artist for country superstar Garth Brooks, in a statement obtained by CNN.

In a shocking new development, Garth Brooks, beloved by many in Alabama and around the world for his chart-topping country hits, has been accused of sexual assault and battery. The allegations stem from a lawsuit filed by Roe, who claims she was sexually assaulted by Brooks during a series of incidents in 2019.

According to the complaint, Roe, who worked for Brooks and his wife, country singer Trisha Yearwood, alleges that Brooks assaulted her in a hotel room while on a work trip for a Grammy tribute performance. Roe also accuses the singer of exposing himself on multiple occasions, sharing sexual fantasies, and sending inappropriate text messages.
