More showers on Sunday with cooler temps this week

Tonight: Another unseasonably warm night is in store with lows only in the middle 60s, roughly 20 degrees above average. Skies will remain overcast with some spotty showers mainly after midnight.

Sunday: A few showers will dot radar beginning our day, but most of Sunday will just be cloudy and gloomy with an occasional light shower. A chance for some steadier rain will increase Sunday late evening and night as moisture builds along a cold front. High temperatures will be in the lower 70s.

Veterans Day: We can’t rule out a few showers before noon as the cold front pushes across the region. Morning clouds will give way to some peaks of sunshine Monday afternoon as lower humidity filters in through the evening hours. Temperatures will reach the lower to middle 70s.

Next Week: The cold front that pushes through on Monday will usher in drier air for Tuesday and most of Wednesday, leading to plenty of sunshine. The air will not feel nearly as humid behind the front, so although temperatures remain above average in the 70s, we’ll feel more comfortable outside. Clouds build back in on Wednesday afternoon with a shower or two possible on Wednesday evening, especially across western Alabama. This will be associated with an upper-level disturbance passing by which will lead to numerous showers on Wednesday night and Thursday.
