U.S. Senator Katie Britt Joins Senate Judiciary Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C., – U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) has announced her appointment to the Senate Judiciary Committee for the 119th Congress. The Judiciary Committee is responsible for evaluating judicial nominations, including those for the Supreme Court, and overseeing legislative matters related to immigration and constitutional issues.

This development comes as the committee prepares to hold hearings for high-profile nominees, including Pam Bondi, nominated by President Donald Trump for Attorney General, and Kash Patel, nominated for FBI Director.

Senator Britt expressed her commitment to bringing Alabama’s perspectives to the committee. “I will work tirelessly to bring Alabama’s conservative values to the forefront of the committee’s decisions, especially when evaluating nominees for the federal judiciary and safeguarding the rights and liberties protected by the U.S. Constitution,” she stated.

Incoming Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) welcomed Britt’s participation, calling her a “bright legal mind” and emphasizing her dedication to Alabamians.
