Weather Aware Saturday/Saturday Night: We’re watching a severe weather threat for the afternoon/evening hours on Saturday, lasting into the overnight and early Sunday as the storms track east and weaken with time. All modes of severe weather are possible with the greatest threat across western Alabama.
Tonight: Skies will remain overcast to mostly cloudy with a shower or two possible. Temperatures will remain steady in the upper 40s to near 50° overnight.
Friday: A few showers will be around in the morning hours, but a more organized band of showers and perhaps a rumble of thunder or two will slowly push across the state from sunrise to sunset. Expect highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s.
This Weekend: A warm front will lift north on Saturday morning, leading to an increase in temperatures and humidity. Highs will rise into the middle to upper 60s Saturday afternoon across the entire area as a strong to severe line of storms develops in Mississippi. This will push east through the afternoon and evening with the storms reaching their strongest point across western Alabama before weakening as they push into central and eastern Alabama.
