The term “geighs,” a stylized spelling of “gays,” seemed to point a well-manicured finger at certain traits—namely materialism, meanness, and general messiness. The call to leave these traits behind was embraced by some, critiqued by others, and, of course, meme-ified by the internet.
But the drama didn’t stop there. Hours later, Banjee revealed that one of the men in the image accompanying her post, known on X as Malike McIntyre, had blocked her, believing she had ‘struck a nerve’ with her post. Naturally, the comment section lit up again. “He blocked me an hour ago too lmao,” one user laughed, while another offered a more pragmatic take: “I mean they did u a favor.”
However, not everyone was on Banjee’s. “You didn’t hit a nerve. That was disrespectful. Of course, he gonna block you. Who wants to see themselves getting disrespected?” one commenter wrote, while another clapped back with, “You’re the one that’s being messy like what did they do?”
