Severe Weather Also Likely Across Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia Tomorrow Night
Good afternoon everyone. As forecasted and discussed, we are watching a very powerful storm system develop in the Midwest, then bring a wide variety of conditions across the Plains, Central States, Gulf States, Southeast, and Mid-Atlantic.
As of this moment, our budding storm is right where we expected it to be; with spottty light snow, freezing rain, and showers developing from northwest to southeast across parts of Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas. Right now things seem fairly tame, but that will change over the course of the evening and into tonight.
By early tomorrow morning, we’ll begin to watch all forms of precipitation become heavier and more concentrated as low pressure begisn to deepen, wraps that cold air into itself, and pulls up warm moisture and energy from the Gulf of Mexico. Heavy snow will break out from Kansas, into Missouri, Illinois, and almost due east across the region, and into the Mid-Atlantic from tomorrow through Monday.
