First Alert Weather: Rain, wind, and a low-end threat for severe storms Sunday evening

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – mperatures this morning. Most of us are in the low to mid 40s with upper 30s in parts of Blount, Etowah, and Cherokee counties. A warm front is lifting northwards giving us clouds and spotty light showers this morning. It won’t rain a lot this morning or this afternoon, but you may have to dodge a few showers at times. Our best chance to see rain will occur late this evening. Sunday will remain cloudy with temperatures slowly warming up into the 50s. We will likely see southerly winds at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20-25 mph during the afternoon hours. Our high temperature may occur late in the evening hours with most of us climbing into the upper 50s and lower 60s.
