COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)- In the Deep South, a winter storm is being locally tracked, with expected cold rain and a brief mix of rain, sleet, and snow on early Friday, before changing to rain.
North of I-85 conditions will be sporadic for a few slick spots across less traveled roads. North Alabama and Georgia expect 1-3″ of snow, with icy spots. These areas will experience hazardous driving conditions based on the latest forecast.
A brief snow flurry is predicted early Saturday, followed by dry, cold, and partly cloudy conditions. Low to mid 20s for overnight low readings, with daytime high temperatures in the mid to upper 40s over the weekend.
