Alaska to Distribute $1,312 Permanent Fund Dividend Payments to Eligible Residents in 22 Days

In a move set to benefit eligible Alaskan residents, the state of Alaska is gearing up to send out Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) payments worth $1,312 to those who fall under the “Eligible-Not Paid” category by February 7. The distribution of these checks is expected to commence in 22 days.

Residents who have yet to receive their PFD checks for the year 2023 or earlier will be included in this payment round. The PFD program, a longstanding initiative in Alaska, offers annual payments to residents based on the state’s mineral revenues for that particular year.

The application window for the 2024 Permanent Fund Dividend is currently open and will remain so until March 31. Eligible residents can apply for the dividend either online or by using a paper form.

To qualify for a payment from the Permanent Fund Dividend, individuals must have the intention of remaining Alaska residents indefinitely and must not have a felony conviction, among other specified requirements.

The 2023 Permanent Fund Dividend amounted to $1,312 per eligible resident, according to information from the Alaska Department of Revenue. The distribution process for this payment began in October 2023.
