In 10 days, the Alaska Department of Revenue is slated to distribute payments from the Permanent Fund Dividend to eligible residents who have yet to receive their checks from the state program.
Those receiving their payments on Feb. 15 include Alaskans who have not received their PFD check from 2023 or earlier and have the “Eligible-Not Paid” status by Feb. 7.
The Alaska residents eligible for a PFD payment include those who intend to remain residents of the state indefinitely and are not convicted felons, among other requirements outlined by state officials.
Applications for the 2024 Permanent Fund Dividend are open from now until March 31. The state says that residents can fill out the application online or by paper form.
The Permanent Fund Dividend gives eligible Alaskans a payment each year based on the state’s mineral revenues for that year. For 2023, each eligible resident got checks worth $1,312 from the program. The state said the 2023 PFD payments began going out in October 2023.
