Podcast investigates serial killer’s ties to the PNW

PORTLAND, Ore ( KOIN ) – Clues to solving multiple murders, possibly linked to a serial killer, could be hiding on hiking trails around the Pacific Northwest.

The suspect, serial killer Israel Keyes, admitted to murdering at least three people – two in Vermont and one in Alaska.

He is believed to be involved in many more cases, and officials said he used “kill kits” to target his victims, hiding them near trails.

Keyes never faced trial for any other potential victims and he died in prison by suicide in 2012.

Joshua Ash and Dakota Williams have been on Keyes’ trail for years.

The pair are the hosts of the “Somewhere in the Pines” podcast, where they are dedicated to finding the kill kits and researching the case.

Ash and Williams joined AM Extra to talk about the case and share some insights.
