As this cold front advances during this period, a strong upper-level associated jet stream will impact Southern Arizona, ushering in rain, rain showers, possible thunderstorms, and gusty winds. These conditions could significantly disrupt travel, urging you to plan your journeys wisely. The rainfall totals from Tuesday to Thursday are projected to be .25” to .50” for Yuma, .50” to one inch for the Phoenix metro area, .50” to one inch for Tucson, .50” to .75” for Sierra Vista, .30” to .60” for Benson, and .40” to .75 inch for Safford.

Additionally, on Tuesday and Wednesday, expect strong gusty winds for Southern Arizona, 30-40 mph over those two days.
