According to the Arizona Weatherman, a second round of snow is coming through Northern Arizona, specifically impacting areas such as Flagstaff, Prescott, and Payson on Thursday, 8 Feb, through early morning Friday, 9 Feb 2024, and then a third weaker round on Saturday. This second system will bring in more significant snow loads for the Flagstaff area.
In the first round, the Arizona Weatherman predicted 12-18 inches for Flagstaff, Arizona, in his last article, “Weather whirlwind: Rain, snow, and wind to impact Northern Arizona, Flagstaff covered in snow,” and according to the National Weather Service latest snow reports on the morning of 7 Feb 2024, the Flagstaff area had 10-16 inches of snow. With the next two rounds of weather systems to move through the Northern section of the state, the Arizona Weatherman is expecting that 8 Feb through 10 Feb 2024 Flagstaff, Arizona, will get an additional 5-8 inches of snow on Thursday into Friday and on Saturday another 1-2 inches of snow. For Prescott, another 3-5 inches of snow is possible, and for Payson and Show Low, 1-2 inches of snow is possible. Expect more of a rain event for areas 5,000 feet in elevation and below.
