Fraud arrests tied to missing person cases in New Mexico

GALLUP, N.M. – Nearly 200 people are now facing charges across the country, accused of defrauding government health care plans out of billions of dollars. Some of those charged are tied to sober treatment centers under investigation in Arizona. Those facilities are suspected of picking up Indigenous people in New Mexico promising treatment, but not providing any services.
