Mild Weather and Storms Expected for Phoenix Area Early This Week

The National Weather Service has forecast a weather disturbance moving across Arizona tonight, bringing the chance for showers and thunderstorms, particularly in eastern parts of the state. The system is expected to shift northeast by Tuesday, leaving behind mild and dry conditions for the rest of the week.

Showers and fast-moving storms may impact the Phoenix metro area with a 25% chance of precipitation, especially in areas east of the city. By midweek, temperatures are predicted to stay 5-10 degrees below average before returning to normal over the weekend.

The region will also experience gusty winds and blowing dust, especially in southeastern California, before winds calm overnight.
