Yavapai County Joins Federal Program to Enhance Drug Trafficking Fight in Arizona

Yavapai County has recently been designated a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), a designation intended to strengthen local and federal efforts to combat drug trafficking. According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, this new status will enhance partnerships among law enforcement agencies and improve communication to address the state’s drug challenges, particularly the trafficking of fentanyl.
