Arkansas lawmakers respond after drone strike in Jordan kills three US service members

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Saturday night, three U.S. service members were killed and at least two dozen injured after a drone strike in Jordan, near the Syria border where they were stationed.

Many lawmakers around the country have taken to social media to express their feelings, including leaders from the Natural State.

Senator Tom Cotton took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, and extended condolences to the families of those lost.

“On behalf of Arkansans, I extend my deepest condolences to the families of our brave fallen warriors,” Cotton said. “May God comfort them as He welcomes their loved ones into His embrace. And may God quickly and completely heal their wounded comrades.”

Fellow Arkansas Senator John Boozman also released a statement on X expressing his support for the fallen.

“Our prayers are with the families of these fallen heroes and their injured comrades whose sacrifice is the epitome of courage, duty & devotion,” Boozman stated. “We must ensure this cowardly act does not go unanswered and all who test America’s resolve face an unmistakable, overwhelming response.
