2 dead, officer injured in crash on I-40 in Arkansas

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people are dead and an Arkansas Highway Police officer injured following a wreck Wednesday morning on Interstate 40 in Arkansas.

According to the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a two-vehicle car crash near the Jennette exit at mile marker 267.

Little Rock police identify person killed in Sunday airport crash

One of the vehicles ran into the back of an Arkansas Highway Police vehicle. Deputies said the officer was rushed to an area hospital.

ARDOT reported that a vehicle was on fire and eastbound traffic was backed up beginning about 4 miles west of West Memphis. The crash was first reported at 9:40 a.m.
