Monday, September 2 forecast: Peaceful Labor Day pattern

Happy Labor Day! Soak up every minute of the holiday if you can because the weather will be beautiful. The nice weather will stick around each day this week staying below normal in the low to mid-80s.

This afternoon will be around 80° with plenty of sun and lower humidity thanks to a light northeast breeze. If you have anything that needs to get done today (including rest), the weather will not get in your way. Tonight will be cool in the upper 50s.

After a cool start Tuesday morning, temperatures will reach the upper 70s to low 80s in the afternoon. Like today, Tuesday will be overall quiet with a light east breeze and a few clouds from time to time.

We may get a little warmer on Wednesday and Thursday but still below normal for early September. Our next shot for some shower activity may sneak in on Thursday but the probability is low. The rain system will largely go around to the south through Arkansas. That being said, Fayetville to Harrison to Mountain Home could see some rain on Thursday.
