The hot and humid conditions this weekend might be the last gasp of summer. Near record highs will be possible Saturday and Sunday. We’ll also have a slight chance for a shower or storm Saturday, Sunday ,and again Monday as a new front moves through the state. This will bring temperatures next week back to the 70s and 80s for highs. We need to watch late next week for some tropical moisture. A system may develop in the Gulf of Mexico, but where it tracks is unknown at this time. If it moves west, we will have rain chances late next week, but if it moves east, cool and dry air should enter the region. We’ll keep you updated and have a great weekend. -Todd Yakoubian
