Arkansas veterinarian advises early treatment with rise in rabbit fever over the last decade

ARKANSAS, USA – Tularemia, also known as rabbit fever, has risen by 56% in the U.S. since 2011 with close to half of all cases in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas. Dr. Laura Rothfeldt, the state public health veterinarian at the Arkansas Department of Health, explained how the disease spreads and how it got the name rabbit fever.
