A proposed ballot initiative to reverse the controversial Proposition 47 in California is gathering signatures for the next general election this November. Under this initiative, an offender with two prior convictions for theft can be charged with a felony, regardless of the value of the stolen property. Also, thefts by the same person can added together to allow for felony charges.
