MODESTO, Calif. – A Central Valley congressman on Friday announced he would reauthorize a program to help law enforcement stop the flow of illegal drugs, including fentanyl. Flanked by local law enforcement, families who lost loved ones to drug overdoses or poisoning and other community members, Republican John Duarte said the bill reinstating the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area would infuse more than $300 million a year to help law enforcement agencies across the country and at various levels to investigate and dismantle large drug trafficking operations.
