In a somber update on the devastating aircraft crash near Halloran Springs Road, authorities have positively identified the six individuals who lost their lives in the tragic incident on February 9, 2024.
The victims are identified as follows:
- Blake R. Hansen, 22-year-old resident of Moorpark, CA
- Benjamin D. Pettingill, 25-year-old resident of Camarillo, CA
- Herbert O. Wigwe, 57-year-old resident of Lagos, Nigeria
- Doreen C. Wigwe, 56-year-old resident of Lagos, Nigeria
- Herbert C. Wigwe, 29-year-old resident of Lagos, Nigeria
- Abimbola O. Ogunbanjo, 61-year-old resident of Lagos, Nigeria
On the night of February 9, 2024, at approximately 10:12 p.m., the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a distressing notification of an aircraft crash.
The location was determined to be approximately one-quarter mile east of Interstate 15, near Halloran Springs Road.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are actively investigating the cause of the crash.
