Celebrities are paying tribute to actor Bill Cobbs , who died on Tuesday (June 25) at 90.
Cobbs’ brother, Thomas , broke the news on Wednesday (June 26), saying the actor died “peacefully” in his California home.
“We are saddened to share the passing of Bill Cobbs. On Tuesday, June 25, Bill passed away peacefully at his home in California,” the brother wrote on Facebook . “A beloved partner, big brother, uncle, surrogate parent, godfather and friend, Bill recently and happily celebrated his 90th birthday surrounded by cherished loved ones.”
“As a family we are comforted knowing Bill has found peace and eternal rest with his Heavenly Father. We ask for your prayers and encouragement during this time,” Thomas added.
Cobbs was known for his roles in Night at the Museum , The Sopranos , and The Bodyguard . The actor also appeared on One Tree Hill , Star Trek: Enterprise , The Drew Carey Show , The Taking Of Pelham One Two Three , Air Bud , The Color Of Money , and more.
