Nov. 9 (UPI) — SpaceX launched 20 Starlink satellites into orbit late Friday from Vandenburg, Calif.
The Falcon 9 rocket illuminated the sky as it lifted off at 10:14 p.m. PST from Launch Complex 4 at Vandenburg Space Fore Base.
The first-stage booster landed on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship positioned in the Pacific Ocean after making its 11th flight. Then, an hour later the satellites were deployed into orbit.
Of the 20 satellites, 13 have direct-to-cell capabilities. The Starlink constellation provides internet service to remote areas of the planet.
Two other SpaceX launches are scheduled from Florida on Sunday and Monday.
The private company is targeting Sunday to launch its next Starlink mission at 4:28 p.m. from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
On Monday, a 12:07 p.m. launch is scheduled for the Koreasat 6A telecommunications satellite from Kennedy Space Station.
