The data was sourced from moveBuddha’s Moving Cost Calculator, analyzing moves planned between July 2023 and March 2024. The analysis looked at the ratio of moves in versus moves out to determine the most desired cities for relocation in each state. This year’s list excludes Mississippi, North Dakota, and West Virginia due to insufficient data.
