Days before Whoopi Goldberg announced she could not leave “The View” because she was struggling like every other working-class person, she had already dropped another bombshell statement that equally upset viewers and fans.
Within days of Donald Trump winning the election, Whoopi Goldberg proclaimed to everyone watching the controversial talk show, “grocers are pigs.”
According to MSN https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/grocers-outraged-after-whoopi-goldberg-calls-them-pigs-over-food-inflation-on-the-view/ar-AA1tL2T2 the iconic actress and co-host of “The View” shockingly gave her opinion by stating:
“Your pocketbook is bad, not because the Bidens did anything. Not because the economy is bad. Your grocery bills are what they are because the folks that own the groceries are pigs.” Referring to grocery stores as price gouging and the cost of groceries had nothing to do with inflation.
The remark raised concerns that the name-calling could expose more store owners to further violence, such as shoplifting and assaults on employees who try to stop those who do not choose to pay for items.
