A light rain system is moving through the Bay Area this evening, bringing scattered showers to the region, with rainfall totals expected to be modest. The rain will continue moving south, reaching the Central Coast by evening. Most areas will see between 0.05 and 0.25 inches of rain, with the Santa Lucias potentially receiving up to 0.4 inches. Conditions will dry out by late tonight. Temperatures are expected to range from the upper 30s to mid-50s overnight.

A warm-up begins Tuesday as high pressure builds, bringing drier and sunnier weather for the rest of the week. However, rain is forecast to return by Friday.
