DENVER, CO — Colorado is experiencing two different seasons at once on Saturday. Summer-like warmth continues east of the mountains, while rain begins working its way across western Colorado. Rain becomes more widespread across the Western Slope Saturday night and Sunday, with locally heavier downpours possible in southwest Colorado. Cooler air starts making progress next week, with more notable mountain snow possible around midweek.
Front Range and Eastern Plains Stay Warm and Breezy
Denver and the Front Range will see highs from 80 to 85 degrees Saturday with partly cloudy skies and a breeze. Conditions along the Interstate 25 corridor will remain mainly dry through the day.
The eastern plains will be even warmer, with highs from 84 to 91 degrees under sunny to partly cloudy skies. Dry and breezy conditions will keep fire weather concerns elevated in exposed areas, so residents should be careful with anything that could spark.
Western Slope Turns Cloudy With Showers Increasing
The Western Slope will see increasing clouds and scattered showers during the day. Valley highs will range from 65 to 78 degrees.
