‘Risk of heavy snow’ now more likely in Colorado over upcoming days

As the start of February closes in, officials are already cautioning Coloradans of a good chance of heavy snow hitting the state during the first week of the month. According to mapping from the National Weather Service, there’s a ‘slight’ ‘risk of heavy snow’ spanning nearly all of Colorado from February 3 to February 9. That being said, there’s a ‘moderate’ ‘risk of heavy snow’ from February 3 to February 6 encompassing most of the western half of the state. While the ‘slight’ risk was noted in a prior report, the ‘moderate’ risk was not.
