Owl stuck in vault toilet at Antero Reservoir rescued

DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers in the Northeast Region rescued an owl who was stuck in a vault toilet Sunday morning.

CPW said officers responded to Antero Reservoir on a call reporting a long-eared owl stuck in a vault toilet.

The owl was able to fly away when CPW officers opened a trapdoor.

“The scriptwriters are on one for this story,” CPW said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter . “It’s a Superb Owl in a Super Bowl.”

CPW said no humans nor the owl were injured, though the project was a smelly one.
