GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – There has been a lot of talk around the country recently about sanctuary cities. It’s no different in western Colorado. Recently, panic set in after a popular news organization reporter that Mesa County, and other Colorado counties, has sanctuary cities. As we’ve reported, that is not true. Now, Mesa County Commissioners are joining a lawsuit against the State of Colorado based on the damages caused by the state’s sanctuary status. The lawsuit is originally brought on by Douglas and El Paso counties.
