Isolated to scattered severe storms to end the week

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – The threat for severe storms exist not only for this evening but also for Friday evening as well. Isolated to scattered storms will fire up in eastern Wyoming and Colorado early this evening. Storms will then push into western Nebraska and eventually push into Central and Eastern Nebraska through the evening and early overnight hours. A severe threat will be possible with these storms. The highest place will be with the early storms over Western Nebraska. The threat is lower, but still possible farther east. The biggest threat will be damaging wind gusts. Large hail, and isolated tornadoes will be possible with any discrete supercell thunderstorms. Late in the night and into tomorrow morning, this activity will weaken as it pushes to the east and clears out of the area early Friday morning.
