Some polling locations in every county have more early voting machines.
The Delaware Department of Elections said it added more voting machines to some polling places in the state in response to the large volume of voters who are casting their votes early in this election. The places that received more machines are:
- Hudson State Service Center, Newark: Four additional machines, and larger space within the facility
- Christina Crossing, Wilmington: Two additional machines
- Police Athletic League, Wilmington: One additional machine
- BPOE No. 1903 Elks Lodge, Dover: Two additional machines
- Crossroad Christian Church, Dover: Two additional machines
- Dept. of Elections Warehouse, Seaford: One additional machine
- Ellendale Fire Hall, Ellendale: Two additional machines
- Laurel Fire Hall, Laurel: One additional machine
According to the Delaware Department of Elections, more than 27,000 people cast their ballots on the first day of early voting on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024. That number is around half of the total early ballots in 2022’s entire early voting period.
