General Motors is recalling more than 539,000 vehicles because of transmission issues, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

General Motors recalls
General Motors is recalling 461,839 vehicles equipped with diesel engines. The transmission control valve may fail and cause the rear wheels to lock up.
The vehicles in the recall include:
- 2020-2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
- 2020-2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
- 2020-2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500
- 2020-2022 GMC Sierra 1500
- 2020-2022 GMC Sierra 2500
- 2020-2022 GMC Sierra 3500
- 2021Cadillac Escalade
- 2021Cadillac Escalade ESV
- 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe
- 2021 Chevrolet Suburban
- 2021 GMC Yukon
- 2021 GMC Yukon XL
General Motors, LLC (GM) is also recalling 77,824 2022-2023 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vehicles. Incorrect software in the transmission control module may result in harsh shifting, reduced power, unintended deceleration, rear wheel lockup, or cause the vehicle to move in an unintended direction.
