MILFORD – The Food Bank of Delaware held a graduation ceremony for their culinary and logistics learning programs on Wednesday.
The Culinary School and the L.O.G.I.C programs are offered by the Food Bank of Delaware to help train individuals in the food industry and the warehousing industry with hands-on experience.
The Culinary School is a 14-week program certified by the Delaware Department of Education that helps to prepare students for careers in the food industry. The students receive 444 hours of training during the 14 weeks.
The program teaches students basic and high-end kitchen schools, can become Serv-Safe certified and receive two weeks paid work experience, job placement, uniforms, textbook and a knife.
The L.O.G.I.C. or logistics, operations, general warehousing and inventory control, program is a 14-week program that is certified as a trade school by the Delaware Department of Education. It helps to prepare students for work in the warehousing and logistics industry.
